When I was a child, my father, a Greek-American, often corresponded with authors of books he read. One of these was May Sarton. In 1974, a special package arrived just for me from someone I did not know. Inscribed with, "Happy Valentine's Day, May Sarton", was copy of "Joanna and Ulysses". It is one of my most treasured possessions.
